《GB/T 22373-2008标准文献元数据》由424-cnis（中国标准化研究院）归口，主管部门为国家市场监督管理总局。
本标准规定了标准文献数据集合的基本元数据，给出了标准文献核心元数据、公共元数据的定义及其表示方法。
本标准适用于各类标准文献数据集加工、整理、建库、汇编、发布和查询。 标准文献元数据是实现标准文献数据共享的必要条件之一，是发现和获取各类标准化信息资源的有效途径。规范标准文献元数据的内容、标识、质量、状况及有关特征将有利于：
―――各级标准文献数据建设单位对原始数据有效地进行管理和维护；
―――用户查询和检索快速找到其所需要的标准文献；
―――促进数据加工的规范化、标准化，提高标准文献数据库的建库与维护的质量；
―――在更大范围内实现标准文献信息资源共享。

Scope

This standard specifies the basic metadata of standard document data collections, and gives the definitions and representation methods of standard document core metadata and public metadata. This standard applies to the processing, collation, database building, compilation, release and query of various standard literature data sets.
