Electrical equipment safety - Risk assessment and risk reduction - Part 2: Risk analysis and risk evaluation English

1 Scope

1.1 This part specifies the guiding principles and implementation methods for the relevant risk analysis and assessment of electrical equipment carried out in accordance with GB/T 22696.1-2008. Risk analysis includes the identification of restrictions and hazard and its methods.

1.2 The intended users of this part are designers, technicians or safety standard experts regarding the integration of safety into the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance or improvement of electrical equipment.

1.3 This part applies not only to safety risk assessment in the design stage and during manufacturing and trial operation process, but also to safety risk assessment in the process of retrofitting or improving electrical equipment or to assessment of existing electrical equipment, as well as risk assessment in any case e.g. unexpected incident or fault.

2 Normative References

The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 22696, constitute provisions of this part. For dated references, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document applies.
