Scope

This standard specifies pathogen identification methods such as fresh blood smear, thin blood smear staining, capillary collection, experimental animal inoculation, and serological test techniques such as latex agglutination test, indirect hemagglutination test, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. This standard applies to the diagnosis, quarantine and epidemiological investigation of trypanosomiasis.
