——requirements for shoe sizes are modified (see Sub-clause 3.1; Sub-clause 3.1 of Edition 2009);

——requirements and test methods for outsole density are deleted (see Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.2 of Edition 2009);

——requirements and test methods for abrasion resistance of the outsole are modified (see Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.2; Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.3 of Edition 2009);

——requirements for the upper sole adhesion are modified (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2009);

——requirements and test methods for the flex resistance of the whole shoes are modified (see Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.6; Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.7 of Edition 2009);

——requirements for the shock attenuating property are modified (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2009);

——requirements and test methods for the pull-out strength of the eyelet are added (see Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.8);

——requirements and test methods for the water vapor permeability property of the upper are deleted (see Table 1 and Sub-clause 4.9 of Edition 2009);

——requirements and test methods for the health and safety properties are added (see Sub-clauses 3.3, 4.9 and 4.10);

——inspection rules are modified (see Clause 5; Clause 5 of Edition 2009);

——marking, packaging, transportation and storage are modified (see Clause 6; Clauses 6, 7 and 8 of Edition 2009);

——Annex A is deleted (see Annex A of Edition 2009).

This standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association.

This standard is under the jurisdiction of SAC/TC 35/SC 9 Subcommittee on Rubber Shoes of National Technical Committee on Rubber and Rubber Products of the Standardization Administration of China.

The previous edition of this standard is as follows:

——GB/T 24152-2009.

3 Requirements

3.1 Shoe sizes

The shoe sizes shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.1.

3.2 Physical properties

The physical properties shall meet those specified in Table 1.

Table 1 Physical properties
Item Requirement
Abrasion resistance of the outsole / mm3 ≤100
Slip resistance of the outsole ≥0.70
Non-marking property of the outsole / grade ≥4-5
Upper sole adhesion/(N/mm) ≥3.0; if the microporous material is torn and the adhesive layer is not unglued, ≥2.0
Flex resistance of the whole shoes After 50,000 times, the upper is free from fracture, the glue failure in the upper, shoe sole, upper sole and outsole shall not exceed 5 mm, and number of cracks on the outsole shall not be greater than 3 and the length of the longest crack shall not exceed 5 mm.
Shock attenuating properties a (G value) Front sole ≤38
Rear sole ≤18
Pull-out strength / N ≥300
a The shock attenuating property is only used as a report value.

3.3 Health and safety properties

Health and safety properties shall meet those specified in Table 2.

Table 2 Health and safety properties
Testing position Item Requirement
Upper, lining and insole Formaldehyde content a /(mg/kg) Material in direct contact with skin ≤75
Material not in direct contact with skin ≤300
Decomposable aromatic amine dyes b (mg/kg) Textile, artificial leather, synthetic leather ≤20
Leather ≤30
a In general, the lining and the insole are materials in direct contact with skin, while the upper is not in direct contact with skin. However, in absence of lining or insole, the upper or midsole is the material in direct contact with skin.
b White is not assessed.

4 Test methods

4.1 Test conditions

They shall meet the requirements of GB/T 2941 and HG/T 2198.

4.2 Abrasion resistance of the outsole

In accordance with the requirements of Method A in GB/T 9867-2008, position of force on the outsole, i.e., the flex position of the metatarsophalangeal (MP) joints on front sole and the part of rear sole, is taken for test. When the test position has obvious pattern with a depth of more than 0.5 mm, a proper method may be adopted for polishing the surface of the pattern before sampling, and shall be specified in the report.

4.3 Slip resistance of the outsole

It shall meet the requirements of dry-process procedures given in Method 2 in Sub-clause 8.2.1 of HG/T 3780-2005.

4.4 Non-marking property of the outsole

It shall meet the requirements of GB/T 24129.

4.5 Upper sole adhesion

It shall meet the requirements of GB/T 21396.

4.6 Flex resistance of the whole shoes

4.6.1 It shall meet the requirements of Method B in HG/T 2871-2008, without cutting.

4.6.2 The flex position is at 70% of the shoe length. As shown in Figure 1, the vertical axis XY of the outsole is marked, its perpendicular line AC is made on XY at 70% away from the back point. AC is the flex line, Points A and C shall be marked with a marker pen on both sides of the test sample; the above two points are flex positions.
