This standard specifies the classification and code, ordering content, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, rust prevention, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of seamless steel pipes for high-pressure feedwater heaters.

Implementation suggestions

The following points should be noted in actual application:

  • The selection of the appropriate steel pipe type (straight pipe, U-shaped pipe or serpentine pipe) should be based on the specific equipment requirements and installation environment.
  • The wall thickness calculation of the curved pipe part must be strictly carried out according to the formula S_f = (4r S_min) / (4r + D).
  • Special attention should be paid to the requirements of intergranular corrosion for austenitic stainless steel pipes. It is recommended to conduct the E method test.
  • When calculating the hydraulic test pressure, the units of D and S must be unified (mm) to avoid calculation errors.
