Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for forged steel lifting components used in sling chains, whose strength and main dimensions match those of grade 8 chains of corresponding nominal dimensions specified in GB/T 24816. Lifting components specified in this standard are normally supplied as part of a chain hoisting system, but may be supplied separately for other applications. When they are supplied as part of the Class 8 non-welded chain lifting system specified in GB/T 25853, they shall also comply with the provisions of GB/T 25853. This standard does not apply to welded main rings, welded intermediate rings and welded connecting rings as components of welded lifting chains specified in GB/T 20652, nor does it apply to other welded parts.
