Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate and contract content of titanium and titanium alloy ingots. This standard applies to round ingots and rectangular slabs of titanium and titanium alloys produced by vacuum consumable arc furnaces (VAR) and electron beam cooled hearth furnaces (EBCHM).
