Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for Y-type wire assemblies and Y-type interconnecting wire assemblies for household and similar use equipment. This standard applies to household and similar purposes, rated voltage not exceeding 250V, rated current not exceeding 16A, only AC single-phase two-pole Y-type wire assemblies and Y-type interconnection wire assemblies with grounding contacts or without grounding contacts. The Y-shaped wire assembly and the Y-shaped interconnecting wire assembly are used to connect electrical appliances or equipment with a power source.
