Scope
This standard specifies a distributed medium access control (MAC) sublayer and physical layer (PHY) for wireless networks. This standard applies to fixed, portable, and mobile devices that mainly work in limited personal space (about 10 m), providing a transmission rate up to 480 Mbit/s.
