Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and designation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and requirements for packaging, marking, transportation and storage of recycled silica sand for foundry. This standard is applicable to the regenerated silica sand (except the old water glass sand) used for molding and core making in foundry production.
