1 Scope

This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of pencils and mechanical pencils for exam.

This standard is applicable to pencils for exam with lead of hardness 2B (hereinafter referred to as pencils) and mechanical pencils for exam, as well as lead for mechanical pencils for exam (hereinafter referred to as lead).

2 Normative References

The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, all parties coming to an agreement according to this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest editions of these documents apply. 3 Terms and Definitions

For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

mechanical pencil for exam
mechanical pencil that has lead with hardness of 2B and is convenient and efficient for writing on the answer sheet
