1 Scope

This standard specifies acceptance level of magnetic particle testing indication for imperfections in ferromagnetic steel weld.

This acceptance level is mainly used for manufacturing inspection. If appropriate, it may also be used for in-service inspection.

The acceptance levels in this standard are based on testing capability that can be expected by adopting the method specified in GB/T 26951 and the parameters recommended in Annex A. The acceptance levels are related to welding standards, application standards, technical conditions or laws and regulations. More information about acceptance level of indication can be found in product or application standards.
