Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of five volatile organic compounds (1,3-butadiene, isoprene, acrylonitrile, benzene, toluene) in mainstream cigarette smoke by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. This standard applies to the determination of five volatile organic compounds (1,3-butadiene, isoprene, acrylonitrile, benzene, toluene) in mainstream cigarette smoke. The quantitative limits of this method for the determination of 1,3-butadiene, isoprene, acrylonitrile, benzene, and toluene in mainstream cigarette smoke were 0.13 μg/cig, 0.46 μg/cig, 0.035 μg/cig, and 0.059 μg/cig, respectively. cig, 0.035 μg/cig, the detection limits were 0.039 μg/cig, 0.14 μg/cig, 0.010 μg/cig, 0.018 μg/cig, 0.010 μg/cig, respectively.
