1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging and storage of saturated polyester resins for thermosetting powder coatings.

This standard applies to thermosetting saturated polyester resins prepared by polycarboxylic acids (or anhydrides), polyols, etc. through condensation polymerization, and the product is used in the manufacture of epoxy polyester powder coatings, pure polyester powder coatings and polyurethane powder coatings.
