Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
GB/T2889.2-2020, as the basic terminology standard in the field of sliding bearings, systematically standardizes 61 professional terms related to friction and wear of sliding bearings. This standard is equivalent to the ISO43782:2017 international standard, and the technical content remains highly consistent.
Friction classification system
| Classification dimensions | Main types | Key features | Typical applications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Motion form | Static friction/dynamic friction | Relative motion trend and state difference | Starting torque calculation |
| Motion mode | Sliding friction/rolling friction | Contact surface velocity field distribution | Bearing selection and design |
| Lubrication state | Boundary friction/fluid friction | Lubrication film thickness and load-bearing mechanism | Lubrication system development |
Wear mechanism analysis
Mechanical wear
The standard defines 7 types of mechanical wear in detail, among which abrasive wear and adhesive wear are the most common:
- Abrasive wear: Ploughing effect caused by hard particles, common in mining machinery
- Adhesive wear: Material transfer caused by intermolecular forces, often occurs in high temperature conditions
Mechanochemical wear
Special emphasis is placed on the synergistic effect of environmental media and mechanical action. Freak corrosion is a typical form of composite wear.
Key technical parameters
The standard clearly defines the calculation methods of three core parameters:
- Friction factor μ=F/P: ratio of friction force to normal load
- Wear rate: material loss per unit time/distance
- Equivalent wear rate: normalized wear index considering load factors
Standard implementation recommendations
Design application
It is recommended to use the friction angle concept defined in the standard to evaluate the self-locking performance during the sliding bearing design stage.
Fault diagnosis
The difference between oil film oscillation (3.5.1) and oil film vortex (3.5.2) can be accurately described according to standard terminology:
- Oscillation frequency ≈ first-order critical speed
- Vortex frequency ≈ 0.5×rotational frequency
