Scope

This standard specifies the general specifications for the evaluation of measurement uncertainty in chemical composition analysis and the gravimetric method, titration method, spectrophotometry, atomic absorption spectrometry, hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry, spark Discharge atomic emission spectrometry, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, infrared absorption method and thermal conductivity method, gas volumetric method to determine the measurement uncertainty evaluation method of carbon content. This standard is applicable to the assessment of measurement uncertainty in chemical composition analysis of metallurgical materials.
