《GB/T 29119-2023煤层气资源勘查技术规范》由TC42(全国煤炭标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为中国煤炭工业协会。
Introduction
Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
This revision is the first comprehensive update of the 2012 version of the standard, mainly responding to the green exploration concept and the demand for coordinated development of coal mining areas. A new chapter on coalbed methane exploration in coal mining areas has been added, and the original independent chapter on reserve calculation has been deleted and integrated into the exploration stage requirements, reflecting the idea of full life cycle management.
Changes in the definition of core terms
| Terms | 2012 version definitions | 2023 version update highlights | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coalbed methane | Only describes the occurrence state | Adds a clear definition of methane as the main component | ||
| Parameter well | General description | Emphasis on the function of well test method selection and geological block division | ||
| Parameter well | General description | Emphasis on the function of well test method selection and geological block division class=instrument>Green Exploration | Not mentioned | New definition: Minimization of environmental impact throughout the process |
Exploration stage division and technical requirements
Pre-exploration stage
- Core tasks:Determine the target area and estimate and predict geological reserves
- Key technologies:It is necessary to complete the exploration well layout and obtain basic parameters such as gas content and adsorption characteristics
- New requirements:The convertibility of the reservoir must be evaluated
Evaluation stage (divided into exploration/development tests)
- Exploration link:Through exploration wells class=instrument>Drainage and production wells obtain three consecutive months of production capacity data
- Development test: It is necessary to complete the well group layout and gas field conceptual design
Coordinated exploration requirements for coal mining areas
Infrastructure mines
Outburst mines must adopt rope coring technology, and start gas content testing when the upper 20m of the coal seam is exposed (according to GB/T 19559)
Production mines
Implement the three-zone linkage strategy:
- Planning area: Deploy vertical wells/cluster wells in the entire area
- Preparation area: Adopt joint extraction from above and below the well
- Production area: Prioritize underground drilling
Comparison of key technical parameters
| Project | 2012 version requirements | 2023 version update |
|---|---|---|
| Proven reserve well spacing | 3-4km in simple structural areas | Detailed requirements for Class III structural areas0.5-1km |
| Drainage and production test period | Unspecified | Must be ≥3 months of continuous gas production |
| Cementing quality | General standards | The target layer must be of excellent quality within 50m above and below |
Implementation suggestions
Corporate response strategies
- Data connection: Coal geological exploration data must be corrected for gas content according to the area weight method
- Equipment upgrade: Priority should be given to rope-type semi-closed tube coring tools (core diameter ≥ 60mm)
- Report preparation: Refer to Appendix F for the requirements of the newly added economic evaluation chapter
Key points for regulatory attention
- A report on the sealing of goafs must be submitted when closing a mine
- High-gas mines must establish dynamic archives of coalbed methane resources
