Scope

This standard specifies three test methods for rodent-proof performance, including test samples, devices, procedures, results, and test reports. This standard applies to the rodent-proof performance evaluation of optical cables, sheath materials, and metal armor materials with single-layer or multi-layer metal armor and without any chemical agents such as repellants. The metal armor layer can be a metal tube, a longitudinal (or wrapping) metal strip or a stranded (or braided) wire. The anti-rodent performance test of other cables and other products with similar structure can also be used as a reference.
