Scope
This standard specifies five interoperability levels for PKI systems and PKI applications, completes the graded PKI interoperability assessment criteria, and provides a basis for the assessment of interoperability levels for PKI systems and PKI applications. This standard applies to PKI systems and PKI applications that require cross-domain interoperability, and can be used in the design, development, manufacturing, procurement, testing, evaluation, and use of PKI systems and PKI applications.
