Introduction
GB/T29318—2024 Standard Overview
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for the DC power metering between the off-board charger and the electric vehicle, and is applicable to the design, manufacture, acceptance and use of the whole machine power metering of public chargers. Compared with the old version of the standard (GB/T29318—2012), this revision adds a number of technical requirements, including interface specifications, function expansion and climate and environmental impact analysis.
Comparison of Standard Frameworks
| Chapter Contents | Requirements of the 2012 Edition | Additions/Modifications of the 2024 Edition |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Overall Metering Performance of Off-Board Chargers | Starting from the overall metering performance of off-board chargers, expanded to detailed requirements for public chargers |
| Terms and Definitions | Delete some old terms (direct access electric energy meter, etc.) | Add a number of new terms, such as "total charging capacity", "rate amount", "billing module", etc. |
| Technical Requirements | Configuration requirements and installation location | Add interface specifications, metering function expansion (bidirectional energy metering) and climate and environmental impact requirements |
Standard formulation background and technology evolution analysis
With the rapid development of the electric vehicle industry, the construction and improvement of charging infrastructure is particularly important. This standard revision is mainly based on the following points:
- Technological progress:Technological upgrade from one-way metering to two-way metering.
- Industry demand:The popularity of public chargers has promoted the demand for accurate billing and diversified functions.
- Environmental adaptability:Added climate and environmental impact requirements to ensure the stability and reliability of chargers in different environments.
Implementation Recommendations
To ensure the effective implementation of the standard, the following measures are recommended:
- Enterprise level:Charger manufacturers must strictly follow the new standards for product design and production, and strengthen the calibration and testing of metering modules.
- Testing agencies:Establish testing laboratories that meet the new standards and ensure that the test equipment and methods meet the requirements.
- Policy support:The government should introduce relevant policies to promote the upgrading and transformation of charging infrastructure, and provide necessary technical support and financial subsidies.
