Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of nitromethane in cosmetics. This standard applies to the determination of nitromethane in cosmetics such as water, loose powder, shampoo, spray, and lipstick. The detection limit of this standard for nitromethane is 0.1 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 0.2 mg/kg.
