Scope

This standard specifies the overall architecture of learning, education and training systems supported by information technology, which describes the overall system design and the components of these systems. This standard applies to system architectures that are neutral in terms of pedagogy, content, culture and platform. This standard provides a framework for understanding existing and future systems and facilitates interoperability and portability by identifying key system interfaces.
