Scope
This standard specifies the attributes of fixed asset metadata, the composition of core metadata, and the principles and methods of metadata extension. This standard applies to the development and construction of information systems related to fixed asset management, and to the sharing and exchange of fixed asset data between office automation, financial management, and enterprise resource planning systems, as well as between various institutions.
