1. Background and significance of standard revision

With the rapid development of my country's coal industry, the effective utilization of mine water resources has become a key issue for environmental protection and sustainable development.

III. Interpretation of main technical terms

1. Purification and deep treatment requirements

According to Article 4.2 of the standard, coal mine water treatment generally requires purification treatment or/and deep treatment. Purification treatment processes may include coagulation, sedimentation (clarification), filtration, adsorption, etc.; deep treatment processes may include microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, etc.

Case Analysis: Mine Water Treatment Project of a Coal Mine

The project adopts the purification treatment process of coagulation-sedimentation-filtration to effectively remove suspended solids and colloids. Then it is deeply treated by nanofiltration/reverse osmosis technology, and the quality of the recycled water reaches the industrial boiler water supply standard.

2. Principles of diversion and quality treatment

Article 4.3 of the standard stipulates: Diversion and quality treatment of clean and polluted water should be carried out according to the quality and quantity of raw water. This means that mine water for different purposes should adopt differentiated treatment strategies to improve resource utilization efficiency.


IV. Management and Monitoring Requirements

Articles 6.1-6.3 of the standard put forward clear requirements for the management and monitoring of coal mine water:

  1. Recycled water pipes for different purposes should be painted with distinct colors and marked with prompt words.
  2. Water quality sampling points are set at the total outlet after treatment, and online monitoring equipment must include flow meters and key water quality indicator sensors.
  3. Domestic water should be monitored regularly to ensure that the water quality meets the requirements of GB5749.

V. Implementation Suggestions

To ensure the effective implementation of the standard, the following implementation suggestions are put forward:

  • Establish a professional management team to be responsible for the planning and operation and maintenance of the mine water treatment system.
  • Select water treatment equipment that meets GB/T19249 and other standards to ensure technological advancement.
  • Strengthen the construction of monitoring system to realize real-time monitoring and early warning of water quality.
  • Carry out regular staff training to improve environmental awareness and technical level.
