a) Technical requirements for light liquid paraffin
Light liquid paraffin is mainly composed of C₁₀-C₁₄ normal alkanes, and new grades 3 to 6 have been added, corresponding to normal alkanes with different carbon chain lengths. For example, the mass fraction of C₁₂ normal alkanes in No. 4 light liquid paraffin must be ≥98.5%. This requirement improves the purity and consistency of the product.
b) Technical requirements for heavy liquid paraffin
Heavy liquid paraffin is mainly composed of C₁₁-C₁₈ normal alkanes, and a new flash point index of ≥90℃ has been added to ensure the stability and safety of the product in high temperature environments. For example, when used in lubricating oil base oils, higher distillation range and oxidation stability requirements must be met.
4. Implementation Suggestions
To adapt to the new standards, companies should:
- Upgrade production equipment and testing instruments (such as gas chromatograph, flash point tester) to meet the new technical requirements.
- Optimize production processes and adjust catalyst ratios to ensure that products meet the normal alkane composition index.
- Strengthen employee training, familiarize yourself with the technical details and testing methods of the new standards, and avoid quality risks.
