Introduction

Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution

As the first revised version of GB/T 32119-2015, this standard focuses on optimizing the following technical aspects in response to the upgraded demand for corrosion protection in marine environments:

Revision Dimensions2015 Edition2023 Edition
Material SystemContains Sealing PuttyCancel Sealing Putty and Enhance the Performance of Petrolatum Anti-Corrosion Paste
Performance IndicatorsTensile Strength/Insulation ResistivityChanged to Breaking Strength/Insulation Resistance
Structural requirementsBasic sealing buffer layerIncrease the foaming rate (30-35 times) and thickness (10±0.5mm) precise control

Analysis of the core structure of the anti-corrosion layer

Three-layer protection system composition:

  1. Mineral fat anti-corrosion pasteBase layer (180-250μm)
  2. Mineral fat anti-corrosion tapeReinforcement layer (total thickness ≥1.6mm)
  3. Anti-corrosion protective coverOuter shell (main body ≥3mm, flange 8-10mm)

Application case of a platform in Bohai Sea: After adopting this technology, the corrosion rate of steel structure in the splash zone dropped from 0.5mm/year to 0.02mm/year, and the protection period was extended to more than 15 years.

Key material performance requirements

Test itemsPetroleum anti-corrosion pastePetroleum anti-corrosion tape
Temperature resistanceNo flowing at 50℃No dripping at 45-65℃
Low temperature performanceNo peeling at -20℃Operable at -20℃
Salt spray resistance192h/Grade A1000h/Grade A

Key points of construction quality control

  • Surface treatment: must meet St2 grade rust removal standards
  • Aging control: complete the application of anti-corrosion paste within 6 hours, and install the protective cover within 24 hours
  • Thickness detection: ultrasonic thickness gauge + wet film thickness gauge double verification

Implementation suggestions

1. Environmental adaptation: The protection range of the splash zone should extend from 1m below the lowest tide level to 1.5m above the high tide level
2. Special nodes: irregular components require on-site protective covers, with a butt overlap of 50-100mm
3. Maintenance cycle: check the integrity of the protective cover and the tightening status of the bolts every six months
