Introduction

1. Background and significance of the standard

Color Assessment Booth is a professional device for visual color evaluation, designed to provide a standard visual environment for color matching and evaluation. The GB/T 32387-2015 standard was drafted based on the GB/T1.1-2 0 0 9 rules and was proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Color Standardization.

2. Comparison of standard frameworks

Standard dimensions GB/T 32387-2015 requirements International comparison Application suggestions
Structural design Specifies the typical structure of the colorimetric box, including components such as the light source control panel and the observation cavity. Consistent with the requirements of the CIE standard illuminant. It is recommended to give priority to the light source configuration that meets the CIE standard in actual applications.
Light source selection Use at least one light source that simulates the CIE standard illuminant, and other light sources can be selected according to the product specification. The internationally accepted standard requires a color rendering index Ra greater than 90. The D65 light source is recommended to meet most color evaluation needs.
Photometric performance The illumination of the observation surface in the box should be within the range of 1500lx~3000lx, and the illumination distribution should be uniform. In line with international standards, ensure that the color temperature of the light source is stable within ±5% of the nominal value. It is recommended to calibrate the light source regularly to maintain the photometric performance.

3. Technical requirements and practical applications

The technical requirements of the universal colorimetric box are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

  • Dimensions and appearance:The external dimensions should be clearly stated in the product specification, and the appearance should use neutral colors to avoid obvious defects.
  • Light source selection:CIE standard illuminant light source is preferred to ensure no flicker.
  • Box background:Use diffuse reflective material, the reflectance is controlled at 30%~40%, and the background color chromaticity difference ΔC*a*b should be less than 1.0.

In actual applications, it is recommended that users calibrate light sources and measuring equipment regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency. For example, in the textile, coating, plastic and other industries, universal colorimetric boxes are often used for color matching and quality control.

4. Implementation recommendations

Case analysis: Application in textile dyeing process

After a textile company introduced a universal colorimetric box in its dyeing workshop, the accuracy and consistency of color matching were significantly improved. By using light sources and background materials that meet standard requirements, the company successfully reduced quality problems caused by visual differences.

Recommended steps:

  1. Choose a colorimetric box that complies with the GB/T 32387-2015 standard.
  2. Regularly calibrate the light source and measurement tools to ensure that the photometric performance meets the standard.
  3. Train operators to master the correct usage and maintenance techniques.
