Introduction
1. Standard Overview
GB/T32481-2016 "Performance Requirements for LED Lamps for Tunnel Lighting" specifies the technical requirements for tunnel lighting lamps with a power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V and LED as the light source. It is applicable to lamps that provide lighting for motor vehicle lanes in urban tunnels and mountain tunnels. The standard does not apply to emergency lighting lamps.
2. Interpretation of key technical requirements
LED lamps must meet the following key performance indicators:
- Rated life: The cumulative burning time when the luminous flux maintenance rate decays to 70% under standard test conditions.
- Light intensity distribution: in accordance with the provisions of Appendix D of GB/T31897.1-2015.
- Correlated color temperature (CCT) is not greater than 5000K, and the color rendering index (Ra) is not less than 60.

4. Implementation suggestions
Case analysis: A city tunnel uses LED lamps arranged symmetrically on both sides, with a design speed of 80km/h and a two-way traffic flow of N=650 veh/(h·ln). According to the standard requirements, the average brightness maintenance value of the middle section should be ≥4.5 cd/m² and the power density ≤1.35 W/m².
Implementation suggestions:
- Select LED modules that comply with GB/T31897.201-2016.
- The spacing between lamps must meet the requirements of Table B to ensure that the longitudinal uniformity UL ≥ 0.4.
- Regularly test the lumen maintenance rate to ensure that it is not less than 90% of the rated value.
