Scope

This standard gives the requirements for the seal coat applied at the factory to the surface of the cement mortar lining of ductile iron pipe and fittings, and the cement mortar lining is also applied at the factory. This standard also gives short-term sealing performance, long-term sealing performance, type test requirements for hydraulic cycle test and daily inspection such as appearance, thickness and adhesion requirements and test methods. This standard applies to cement mortar lined seal-coated ductile iron pipes and fittings for conveying water.
