Scope
PDR air interface protocol using dual-slot time division multiple access or frequency division multiple access technology with a channel spacing of 12.5kHz. It includes three technical systems: System A, System B and System C. Digital intercom equipment from different equipment manufacturers that follow this standard can be compatible and interoperable at the physical layer, data link layer and call control layer. Unless otherwise specified, all air interface protocol requirements involving mobile stations in Chapter 6 are applicable to handheld stations.
