Introduction
1. Background and significance of standard formulation
With the increasingly stringent automobile emission regulations, exhaust system materials are facing higher requirements for heat resistance and mechanical strength. GB/T32796-2016 standard came into being, specially formulated to meet the high performance requirements of automobile exhaust systems.

3. Interpretation of the core content of the standard
3.1 Classification and ordering requirements
According to the edge state and dimensional accuracy, the products are divided into trimmed edge (EC) and untrimmed edge (EM), as well as ordinary accuracy (PT.A, PW.A, PL.A, PF.A) and higher accuracy (PT.B, PW.B, PL.B, PF.B). When ordering, it is necessary to specify the brand, specification, surface processing type and delivery status.
3.2 Dimensions and allowable deviations
The allowable deviations for thickness are divided into ordinary and higher types according to the accuracy level, see Table 2 for details. The allowable deviations for width are clearly specified according to different thickness ranges, and the tolerances for trimmed products are stricter.
3.3 Mechanical property requirements
Annealed steel plates and strips must meet the tensile strength, yield strength and elongation specified in Table 10. Different tensile specimen specifications are recommended for products of different thicknesses.
3.4 Surface quality and processing type
The surface processing types are divided into 2D (cold rolling + heat treatment + pickling), 2B (bright and flattened on the basis of 2D) and BA (cold rolling + bright annealing). The purchaser should select the appropriate surface state according to the use requirements.
