Scope

This part of GB/T 3286 specifies the determination of iron oxide content by o-phenanthroline spectrophotometry and flame atomic absorption spectrometry. This section applies to the determination of iron oxide content (calculated as ferric oxide) in limestone and dolomite, and also applies to the determination of iron oxide content in metallurgical lime. O-phenanthroline spectrophotometry, measuring range (mass fraction): iron oxide content 0.02% to 4.0%; flame atomic absorption spectrometry, measuring range (mass fraction): iron oxide content 0.02% to 4.0%.
