As a precious gem variety, the value of ruby mainly depends on factors such as color, clarity, and fire. However, due to the uneven quality of rubies in the market, a unified standard is urgently needed to regulate the evaluation system. Clarity Grading

The clarity of rubies is divided into four levels, from high to low:

  • Extremely Pure (C1): Internal features are difficult to detect.

  • Fair (C4): Features are obvious, seriously affecting the appearance.

Precautions in practical application

  • Grading environment:Ensure that there is no direct sunlight and the background is white or neutral gray.
  • Staff requirements:Grading personnel must receive professional training and must be completed independently by at least 2 technicians.
  • Equipment selection:Use a light source with a color temperature of 4500K~5500K and a color rendering index of no less than 90.
