Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, instruments and equipment, test conditions, sample preparation and measurement procedures for the determination of superabrasive impact toughness and thermal shock toughness. This standard applies to the determination of the impact toughness of synthetic diamond with a particle size of 20/25~325/400 and cubic boron nitride with a particle size of 30/40~325/400.
