Scope

This standard establishes the darkroom storage specifications for wet-processed silver colloidal black-and-white photographic reflective films. Includes silver colloidal photographic film in all weights. This standard applies to black-and-white photographic reflective photographs of silver colloids processed by wet processing, including films that have been chemically treated (gold, selenium, sulfur or others) to improve the imaging properties of silver, and also to black-and-white photographs of silver colloids processed in one. , after regular water washes, thiosulfate as a fixer. This standard does not apply to directly processed black-and-white photographic films (undeveloped silver halide has not been removed by chemical treatment), or thermally processed black-and-white films. It does not apply to color and dye-type photographic films, nor to films that use other thiosulfate-based fixers for imaging-fixing processing. This standard does not apply to those films converted by thiosulfate to readily soluble silver halides and to reversal films for lamination and attachment of exhibits on polyethylene supports.
