This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 3326-1997 Furniture - Main sizes of tables and seats and the following main changes have been made with respect to GB/T 3326-1997:

——The codes of tables, chairs and stools are modified (see clause 2; clause 2 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the height difference of middle clearance height and chair/stool seat surface in the subclause - "Table top height, seat height and matching height difference" (see 3.1) are added;

——The size requirements for the inner width of armrests, seat depth and back length in the subclause - "Armchairs" are modified (see 3.2.1; 3.2.1 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the front width of seat, seat depth and back length in the subclause - "Back-rest chairs" are modified (see 3.2.2; 3.2.2 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the front width of seat, seat depth and back length in the subclause - "Folding chairs" are modified (see 3.2.3; 3.2.3 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the side length (or diameter) of square and round stools are modified (see 3.3.2; 3.3.2 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the clearance height of legs of double-pedestal desks are deleted (see 3.4.1 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the clearance height of legs of single-pedestal desks are deleted (see 3.4.2 of 1997 edition);

——The size requirements for the height of the upper edge of the mirror above the ground in the subclause - dressing table are modified (see 3.4.4; 3.4.3 of 1997 edition);

——The requirements for size range are deleted (see 3.1, 3.2, 3.4 and 3.5 of 1997 edition).

This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Furnitures of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 480).

This standard was firstly issued in 1982 and revised in 1997 for the first time.



Furniture - Main sizes of tables, chairs and stools

1 Scope

This standard specifies the main sizes of tables, chairs and stools.

This standard is applicable to the design and production of double-pedestal desk, single-pedestal desk, dressing table, single-layer table, armchair, back-rest chair, folding chair, long square stool, square stool and round stool; it may also be referred for that of other types of tables, chairs and stools.

3.4.1 Double-pedestal desks
