Introduction

1. Background and significance of standard formulation

Liquid fluorescent whitening agent is an auxiliary agent widely used in textile, washing and papermaking industries, and its performance directly affects product quality. Since urea is a key component, accurate determination of its content is crucial to ensure product quality. The formulation of this standard is based on industry needs and technological progress, filling the gap in the determination method of urea content in liquid fluorescent whitening agents.


2. Determination principle and technical route

This standard adopts high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method, taking advantage of its high separation efficiency and strong detection sensitivity, through the mixed mobile phase of methanol and water for separation, and detection at a wavelength of 195 nm. This method has the following characteristics:

  • High performance liquid chromatograph is equipped with a variable wavelength detector to ensure detection accuracy.
  • Using OD SC 18 chromatographic column, the separation effect is remarkable.
  • Accurate quantification of urea was achieved by using the peak area external standard method.
