GB/T 33488.3—2017 "Inspection methods for welded plastic pressure equipment for chemical industry Part 3: Radiographic inspection" is an important standard in China's chemical industry. Testing Equipment Selection and Configuration
- X-ray Flaw Detector: It is recommended to use a tube voltage of ≤30kV, which meets the requirements of GB/T 26837
- Image Quality Indicator: It is preferred to use a stepped hole type IQI with a density similar to that of the material being inspected
- Film System: It is recommended to use T1 or T2 film to ensure that the sensitivity meets the requirements of GB/T 19348.1
Detection process optimization
In practical applications, it is recommended to give priority to the double-wall transillumination technology (as shown in Figures 4 and 5), especially in the detection of butt welds of pipes with DN ≥ 100 mm. By reasonably adjusting the X-ray source distance f value and focal length F, the detection sensitivity can be significantly improved.
Quality control measures
- Regularly calibrate equipment parameters to ensure that key indicators such as tube voltage and film blackness meet standard requirements
- Strengthen the training of film reviewers. It is recommended that each film be independently reviewed by at least two senior reviewers and then cross-validated
- Establish a test data traceability system to facilitate subsequent quality analysis and problem tracing
