Analysis of the core content of the standard
This standard establishes a complete GPON equipment energy efficiency evaluation system, and classifies the energy efficiency of OLT and ONU equipment through the dual indicators of power consumption limit value and energy efficiency index. The technological evolution is reflected in:

Configuration of a certain model of MDU:
- 16-port VDSL2 board (supports Vectoring)
- Port opening rate 60%
- Actual power consumption 42W
Calculation process:
PLMT = 6 + (0.2×2.0 + 0.8×0.7)×0.6×16 + 0.4×0.4×16 = 23.68W EEI = 42/23.68 = 1.77 → Energy efficiency does not meet the standard
