Definition and Identification Characteristics of Quartz Jade
Quartz jade (Quartzose jade) refers to a naturally produced, quartz-based crystalline-cryptocrystalline mineral aggregate that meets process requirements and may contain small amounts of hematite, goethite, mica, kaolinite, etc. Its main identification features include:- Refractive index: 1.53~1.55
- Density: 2.48~2.95 g/cm³
- Mohs hardness: 5.5~7
