Introduction

GB/T 34427—2017: In-depth interpretation of economic operation of ship fuel oil boilers

Background of standard formulation and analysis of technological evolution

As the world's attention to environmental protection and energy efficiency continues to increase, the ship industry has increasingly stringent requirements for reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The formulation of GB/T 34427—2017 "Economic Operation of Ship Fuel Oil Boilers" aims to guide ship fuel oil boilers to achieve high efficiency and low energy consumption under the premise of ensuring safety, reliability and environmental protection.

The standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Marine Machinery (SAC/TC 137), proposed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation, and formulated in combination with industry practical experience and technological progress. Through scientific management and technological transformation, the economy and environmental protection of boilers under different working conditions are ensured.

Standard dimensions Steam boiler Hot water boiler
Rated pressure (MPa) ≤2.5 -
Medium outlet temperature (℃) - ≤120
Thermal efficiency requirement 82-87% 84-89%

Economic operation classification and technical evaluation indicators

According to GB/T According to the 34427-2017 standard, the economic operation of ship fuel boilers is divided into three levels: Level I, Level II and Level III.

Boiler type Grade I Grade II Grade III
Steam boiler (heavy oil) 82% 80% 78%
Steam boiler (light diesel) 84% 82% 80%

Implementation recommendations

In order to ensure the economical operation of ship fuel boilers, the following measures are recommended:

  • Optimize combustion control: Adjust the excess air coefficient to a reasonable range (≤1.2), clean the ash and check the heating surface regularly.
  • Water quality management: Ensure that the feed water and boiler water meet the requirements of GB/T24947, conduct regular tests and take measures to save water and reduce consumption.
  • Equipment maintenance: Regularly check the operating status of the boiler and its supporting equipment, and repair leaks and damage in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and recording: Use instruments that meet the accuracy level to monitor the operating parameters of the boiler and keep original records of the operating conditions.
