With the acceleration of industrialization, the amount of waste chemicals generated has increased year by year, and their potential threats to the environment and human health have become increasingly significant. In order to regulate the collection, storage and management of waste chemicals and ensure environmental protection and public safety, the National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 34696—2017 "Technical Guidelines for the Collection of Waste Chemicals" came into being.
