Introduction
National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 34810—2017
Crop Water-Saving Irrigation Meteorological Grade Corn
Background and Significance of Standard Formulation
This standard is compiled based on the water demand law of corn at different development stages and its water deficit rate, combined with future precipitation grade forecasts, in order to carry out real-time and targeted corn water-saving irrigation services, effectively alleviate the shortage of agricultural water resources, improve farmland water use efficiency, and achieve water-saving and increased crop yields.
Analysis of standard framework and technological evolution
| Standard dimensions | Technical requirements | Implementation significance | Comparative analysis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calculation of water deficit rate | Comprehensive calculation based on soil moisture, effective precipitation and irrigation amount | Improve the scientific nature of irrigation decision-making | More accurate than traditional methods |
| Future precipitation forecast | Combined with the precipitation level in the next three days (no rain, light rain, moderate rain, heavy rain, rainstorm) | Optimize irrigation plan | Improve risk resistance |
| Irrigation quota | Set irrigation amount according to different levels (0, 1, 2, 3) | Achieve precision irrigation | Save water resources and increase yield |
Implementation suggestions and practical applications
Case analysis: Water management during sowing-jointing period
- When corn is in the development stage from sowing to jointing, it is necessary to pay close attention to changes in soil moisture.
- If the water deficit rate (Da) reaches 15% or more, the irrigation level needs to be determined based on future precipitation forecasts.
- For example, in the absence of rain, if Da ≥ 30%, reclaimed water irrigation (450 m³/hm² or 45.0 mm) should be started immediately.
