1. Background of Standard Formulation

GB/T 34969-2017 "Color Laser Printer Test Version" was released in 2017, mainly for the performance test of color laser printers and their multi-function devices. The standard was proposed and managed by the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, and the drafting units include Zhuhai Tianwei Feima Printing Consumables Co., Ltd., China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute and many other companies and research institutions.

3.1 Comprehensive Version

The comprehensive version is the core part of the test version, which contains a variety of structural elements:

  • Benchmark Frame: used to test the size of the benchmark and its relative position with other pixels.
  • Color Area: tests the color error of C, M, Y and K colors, with a total of 5 areas distributed in the four corners and the center.
  • Solid Circle Area: consists of 5 groups of color circles, used to test image density and color density uniformity.

3.2 Full-color version

The full-color version is mainly used to evaluate the printer's color dots, line abnormal defects and color consistency:

  • Full-color patches: including C, M, Y and K patches, used to test uniformity.
  • The size of the structural element is accurate to 540(A4)/806(A3) points (pt).
