4.1 Test machine system composition

The new standard clarifies that the high-frequency reciprocating test machine must include three major systems:

  1. Host system: vibration frequency 50Hz±1Hz, load 200g±1g
  2. Temperature and humidity control system: oil sample temperature 60±2℃, humidity control range see Figure 2
  3. Data measurement system: microscope resolution ≥2048×1536 pixels

Implementation and application suggestions

Key points for laboratory upgrade

  • Existing equipment needs to add stroke displacement sensor (accuracy 0.02mm)
  • The temperature control system should upgrade the PID algorithm to meet the ±2℃ requirement
  • Wear spot measurement uses a digital microscope equipped with a standard ruler

Standard transition period operation

Before December 31, 2025, reports can be issued according to the 2017 version, but the note "based on the old version of the standard" is required. It is recommended to carry out the following in advance

  1. Equipment metrology calibration (focus on checking the load and temperature modules)
  2. Operator training (new terminology and judgment rules)
  3. Reference oil update (purchased according to clause 7.3)
