Background of Standard Formulation

With the increasing demand for marine environmental protection, the monitoring of radionuclides is becoming increasingly important. As a tracer with a short half-life (8 days), iodine-131 is widely used in medicine, environmental science and other fields. The formulation of this standard aims to standardize its determination method in seawater and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.

Technology Evolution Analysis

Traditional radioactive detection methods usually rely on complex and expensive equipment, while the beta counting method significantly improves sensitivity and accuracy through chemical separation and enrichment. This standard adopts a number of innovative technologies:
