Key technical requirements of materials

Polypropylene resin must meet the following requirements:

  • PP-B copolymer resin content ≥95%
  • Density 895-920kg/m³
  • Oxidation induction time ≥20min(200℃)
  • MFR grade control (AD grade)

Typical case: When DN800 pipe uses MFR B grade raw material, its welding compatibility is better than that of C grade material.

System sealing test

Three sealing verification methods:

  1. Low pressure hydrostatic test: 0.005MPa pressure maintenance for 15min
  2. High pressure hydrostatic test: 0.05MPa pressure maintenance for 15min
  3. Negative pressure test: -0.03MPa vacuum degree detection

Engineering application tips:For DN≥600mm pipes, it is recommended to use condition C test (with additional 1° angle deviation).


Suggestions for the implementation of the standard

1. Selection basis: Select the ring stiffness grade according to the burial depth load. SN4 is suitable for 3-6m burial depth

2. Construction points:

  • MFR difference of welding material ≤1 level
  • Socket and spigot matching length ≥85mm
  • Ice crystal symbol should be marked during winter construction

3. Acceptance criteria: Reverse bending shall not occur when the deformation of the ring flexibility test is 30%
