Introduction
1. Standard Overview
GB/T 35608-2024 "Green Product Evaluation of Insulation Materials" replaces the old standard GB/T 35608-2017. The main revisions include adjustments to the scope of application, the addition of green benchmark product values and low-carbon attribute requirements, and updates to multiple test methods.
2. Scope of application of the standard
This standard applies to:
- Rock wool products and glass wool products for construction
- Molded polystyrene foam plastics, flexible foam rubber and plastic
- Foam glass products, glass fiber-based aerogel composite products
- Vacuum insulation panels and their applications in household appliances

6. Implementation suggestions
To ensure the effective implementation of the standard, enterprises should:
- Establish and continuously improve the quality management system (ISO 9001), environmental management system (ISO 14001) and energy management system (GB/T 23331).
- Use the indicator calculation method in Appendix A to accurately calculate the solid waste utilization rate and unit product energy consumption.
- Refer to Appendix C to prepare a detailed carbon footprint report to support the certification of green products.
