Scope

This standard specifies the minimum communication requirements for water meters capable of exchanging or providing data through an electronic interface. This standard only stipulates the interface conditions of the electrical and electronic connection devices of water meters, and does not specify the requirements for special equipment such as transponders and sensing units that can be connected to water meters for automatic meter reading or remote meter reading.
