Introduction

1. Standard Overview

GB/T 36592-2018 "Chemical Analysis Methods for Powder - Determination of Platinum, Ruthenium, Iridium, Palladium, Gold, Silver, Copper, Iron, Nickel, Aluminum, Lead, Manganese, Magnesium, Tin, Zinc and Silicon - Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry" is a national standard proposed by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, mainly for the determination of various metal elements in powder.

2. Principle of the Method

This standard adopts inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to quantitatively analyze platinum (Pt), Ruthenium (Ru), Iridium (Ir), Palladium (Pd), Gold (Au), Silver (Ag) and other elements in the sample by internal standard method. The specific steps include sample dissolution, sample processing and signal determination.

4. Implementation suggestions

In actual applications, it is recommended that operators strictly follow the standard requirements for sample pretreatment and pay attention to the following points:

  • Ensure that the purity of the reagents used reaches the MOS level.
  • The instrument operating parameters should comply with the recommended values in Table A.1.
  • Regularly calibrate the instrument to ensure that the linear correlation coefficient is ≥0.9995.
